Date Night
After reading through the notes below, take a moment to clarify your date night schedule and some go-to, standard, dates (See ideas below). Note that Date Night can be as simple as watching a movie while holding hands and looking at the stars afterwards. The idea is to set aside "us time" each week. Friendship and love blooms when they are watered with time.
Date night guidelines
At least once a week.
Zero conversation about your relationship, upsets, let downs, expectations or disappointments. Note that date nights are always also Relationship Cleanses 💜 (zero issues).
Make sure there’s always at least some time for chit-chat.
If you’re doing a double date, come home early enough to take a quiet walk together or do two date nights that week.
Note: If you're having a hard time fitting in a date night, if you can even do an hour, that's awesome! (day or night). 2 to 3 hours would supernatural! 🤩
Date night examples:
a long walk
a double date with good friends
dinner and movie
miniature golfing
hiking
tennis or pickle ball followed by dinner and a walk or movie
dinner with joke telling contest (to see who can tell the worst joke).
service activity (serving food at a shelter, picking up trash etc.).
Barbeque up the canyon
Combination of any of the above.
If one of you is not in town on date night, consider doing something on zoom and/or during respective walks. You could even have the same food together at the same time and watch the same movie at the same time and then talk about it afterwards.
O.K. Ready to launch!? Get out your Google Calendar and mark the next 5000 Friday nights, or, whatever schedule works for you.
